Coming up with content ideas can be an exhausting process, making sure it is not only engaging but educates your customers and highlights why your product is right for them!
Answerthepublic.com is a free online tool that listens into autocomplete data from search engines like Google then quickly cranks out every useful phrase and question people are asking around your keyword. It’s a goldmine of consumer insight you can use to create fresh, ultra-useful content, products and services.
For the sake of this article I will be using on of my all time FAVOURITE brands as an example:
Merchants of the Sun. They make recycled 925 silver & recycled gold jewellery.
When you visit the website you choose 1 – 2 key words that are relevant to your brand, product or service, choose your location and language + then search!
Then after about 30 – 60 seconds it generates a report broken down by
– Questions
– Prepositions
– Comparisons
– Alphabetical’s
– Related
Each of these sections are then colour coded from most searched to lowest searched.
But how could this relate to a content strategy? Easy!
This shows us what customers who are actively seeking a product like your own are asking about it. For example: “will gold plated jewellery tarnish“. When shopping for great quality jewellery regardless of gender this is something that people will take into GREAT consideration.
By turning this question into a strong HOOK (the first 3 seconds of a TikTok) you will be able to hook viewers in to watching and ideally engaging with your content.
– “Water proof and tarnish free, you fingers will NEVER turn green!”
– “Surf safe jewellery made for every Aussie surfers”
– “Jewellery you’ll never have to take off and won’t leave you green”
The idea here is to give the viewer a clear understanding of the video’s topic and conclusion, by selling them in the first three seconds they are more likely to start a watch the rest of the clip. You would go on to (the the simplest way) explain why they don’t tarnish and how they are long lasting pieces.
While the above focuses more on education and selling your product you can promote the you can also appeal to the viewers aspirational mind. Rather than selling them a product, sell them a lifestyle. The report tells us that there are a few variations of the question: “should guy’s wear jewellery“.
By breaking down the barrier to entry and showing the viewer what is possible using your products, not only do you show them exactly how to do it using your brand but also increasing the chances of them purchasing multiple products!
